OCHL Classifieds Rules
Admin Approval:
All postings must be submitted for approval by OCHL league administrators before they appear on the Classifieds platform.
League administrators will review each listing to confirm it meets safety, quality, and condition requirements.
Listings that do not meet the rules will be rejected, and the poster may be notified for corrections.
OCHL Disclaimer:
The OCHL provides the Classifieds platform as a community resource but does not take responsibility for transactions or exchanges between individuals.
Any issues such as miscommunications, payment disputes, or item quality problems must be resolved directly between the involved parties.
Affordable Pricing:
All items must be priced below retail value to ensure they remain accessible for hockey families.
Sellers must clearly include the price in their listing (e.g., "$25 for gloves").
Fair Valuation:
Sellers should set prices based on the condition, age, and less than market value of the equipment to maintain fairness.
Quality Standards:
All equipment must be clean, safe, and fully functional.
Sellers and donors are responsible for ensuring their items meet these criteria before listing.
Accurate Descriptions:
All listings must clearly describe the product details including; brand/model, size, condition - including any wear or defects, contact info.
Prohibited Items:
Unsafe or defective equipment and undergear (e.g., cracked helmets, damaged pads, expired certifications) cannot be posted.
Community Transactions:
Buyers, sellers, and swappers are fully responsible for managing their own transactions, including:
Communicating directly to discuss item details, pricing, or trade terms.
Handling payments for purchases.
Arranging pickup or delivery logistics independently.
OCHL does not facilitate financial transactions or mediate disputes.
For safety, it is recommended that transactions take place in public locations.
OCHL-Managed Equipment:
Items posted by OCHL—whether free or for sale—are managed directly by league administrators.
Equipment posted by OCHL will be available for pickup at the league’s office.
To arrange pickup, contact OCHL administration using the information provided in the item listing or confirmation email.
Notify the league admin promptly if you need to reschedule.
