Program Overview

The Oshawa Community Hockey League (OCHL) offers the U15 Hockey Program. This program focuses on skill development, gameplay, and fostering a love for hockey in a supportive environment.


Program Details:

  • Age for Participation: Children born 2011 and 2012.

  • Ice Times: 2 ice times per week, including 8 practices throughout the season.

  • Equipment: Participants receive a free jersey and socks.

  • Professional Photo Package: Includes a professional picture package to capture memorable moments.

  • End of Year Award: Every participant receives an end-of-year award to celebrate their progress.

  • Coaching Staff: Certified OMHA coaches, trainers, and staff provide personalized instruction and support.

Program Objectives:

  1. Enhance Skills: Develop advanced skating, stick-handling, and gameplay skills.

  2. Introduce Competition: Introduce competitive gameplay in a supportive environment.

  3. Promote Teamwork: Encourage teamwork and cooperation among young players.

  4. Build Confidence: Help participants build confidence through achieving small milestones and mastering new skills.

  5. Foster Sportsmanship: Instill the values of sportsmanship and respect both on and off the ice.

Additional Information:

  • Registration: Interested participants can register for the U15 Development Program through the OCHL website. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.

  • Inclusivity: The program is open to all players within the age range, regardless of gender, skill level or previous experience.
