U18 Program

Program Overview

The Oshawa Community Hockey League (OCHL) offers the U18 Hockey Program. This program focuses on skill development, competitive gameplay, and fostering a lifelong love for hockey.

Program Details: 

• Age for Participation: Players born 2008, 2009 and 2010.

• Ice Times: Games are held on Thursday evenings at Delpark.

• Equipment: Participants receive a free jersey and socks.

• Professional Photo Package: Includes a professional picture package to capture memorable moments.

• End of Year Award: Every participant receives an end-of-year award to celebrate their progress.

• Coaching Staff: Certified OMHA coaches, trainers, and staff provide personalized instruction and support.

Program Objectives:

1. Enhance Skills: Develop advanced skating, stick-handling, and gameplay skills.

2. Introduce Competition: Provide a competitive environment to challenge and improve players.

3. Promote Teamwork: Encourage teamwork and cooperation among young players.

4. Build Confidence: Help participants build confidence through achieving small milestones and mastering new skills.

5. Foster Sportsmanship: Instill the values of sportsmanship and respect both on and off the ice.

• Registration: Interested participants can register for the U18 Hockey Program through the OCHL website. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.

• Inclusivity: The program is open to all players within the age range, regardless of gender, skill level or previous experience.
