DEVELOPMENT IN STRIDES PROGRAM 2023-2024 (A program for kids ages 6-10 with a diagnosis of ASD) The Oshawa Community Hockey league is offering a program introducing individuals with Autism to hockey with the hope of encouraging them to learn a new sport as well as, building social skills. The Program will be operated by Certified Coach’s with trained therapist volunteers. The Development in Strides program will be on a first come basis to those that meet the following criteria:
- Can tolerate wearing full equipment - Follow 1-2 step instructions - Ability to work in group format Program start Date: October/ 2023 - ends March / 2024 ( Delpark Arena, Oshawa) on Sunday Program: Space limited to 72 participants (6 Teams) Application Link For more information [email protected] Successful applicants will be contacted.
